Whether in the UK or world-wide AVER has extensive experience of the decommissioning process and can manage and deliver this service to you, either stand-alone or as part of a wider project team. Use of AVER ensures that each aspect of the decommissioning process is evaluated to give the most beneficial outcome in terms of health, safety and the environment.

Our decommissioning service may include all or some of the following:

  • The assessment of remaining hazards/contamination to a facility that are surplus to requirements by undertaking a full contamination survey.

  • Recording the contamination condition of a facility, and use of the data for decontamination and demolition assessment and implementation.

  • The evaluation and safe management of remaining wastes at a facility, for both the decontamination and demolition works.

  • Assessing remaining assets within the facility and how these can be beneficially recovered as part of the process.

  • The Project Management of the decommissioning process, through chemical decontamination, biological decontamination demolition and site remediation, to include the CDM and health, safety and environmental management of the work. This could include surrender of environmental permits/licences.

  • The selective undertaking of bespoke decontamination and demolition contracts as part of an overall service package, which may include ground remediation.
