AVER were engaged to act as Technical Decontamination Specialist for the ‘Clean to Shell’ phase of a 36-hectare pharmaceutical manufacturing facility located in Clarecastle, Ireland. These works were overseen by staff from AVER working hand in hand with Erith site-based teams numbering up to 80 operatives and supervisors. AVER reviewed the extensive documentation to assess & record all activities and the expected outcome of each cleaning/decommissioning process.
AVER utilised a colour marking system was used to highlight where contaminated equipment and pipelines were present, directly identifying contamination issues at the working face.
Staff working in high-risk areas were thoroughly trained on the hazards, best practices, and methods as well as necessary steps in the worst-case scenario with simulations carried out to provide psychological and technical preparation. All site staff and operatives underwent a familiarisation carried out by AVER and a training regime was implemented to ensure all were aware of the hazards and measures being used to provide appropriate protection while working in the ATEX zones.
Erith commend AVER on their invaluable contribution to our project and look forward to working with Bob and the team in the future.

Planet Environmental has worked with AVER and Bob Shaw over a number of years particularly in the decontamination of chemical and biological materials in varying facilities and buildings invariably as part of an overall decontamination and dismantling or demolition decommissioning process. The service that AVER provides is technically sound, safely delivered, efficient and cost effective. To that end and in our opinion, we would say that the services provided by Bob Shaw and AVER are second to none within the markets they are involved in.
Wayne Burton, Sales Director Planet Environmental Ltd.

We commissioned AVER to dismantle and remove a concrete-panelled structure with asbestos cement sheet. They provided a clear and concise RAMS with works completed on schedule and within budget. Post completion site photographs were promptly provided together with a signed Completion Certificate clearly indicating all work carried out. I would not hesitate to recommend AVER for similar decommissioning works.
